What we have learnt from this project

Along this project we have learnt to design all the main features of a green data centre (cooling, ventilation, heating, materials, lighting and more) by applying the principles and formulas learnt in previous semesters from various other classes, projects and researches.

To design this building, we used different software (Dialux, Matlab, Excel etc) to achieve these results. During the whole semester we worked as a team by sharing our ideas, understanding each other, splitting the workload and communicate, which was really rewarding for all of us. Our group settled meetings on a weekly basis normally twice a week to check our overall group progress and also analyse feedbacks given by our advisor during presentations.

These four presentations in class really helped us to feel more comfortable and confident talking and presenting our ideas in front of our classmates. To sum up, our group has worked together and combined great ideas to create our low energy data centre.
